Where it all started

Air Jordan began as just another shoe at Nike in Michael Jordan's early basketball career. The early Jordans had both the Nike swoosh logo as well as the jumpan symbol. Famous designers working at Nike like Tinker Hatfield realized Michael's true potential on and off the basketball court. Tinker suggested the idea to Michael that Jordan expand from under the wings of Nike and he eventually agreed. Soon after there was a schism at Nike and Brand Jordan emerged.
